Daiso Japan – Egg Timer
So how do you like your eggs boiled? Do you like them soft boiled or hard boiled?
With this cute temperature based egg timer, timing how long to boil the eggs perfectly is as easy as 1,2,3.
This is a must-have fun and analogue object for the egg lovers.
How to use
1. Place the egg timer in the water with the egg(s).
2. Wait and watch the timer as it will change color as the water boils.
3. When the color change reaches the desired boiled egg hardness on the timer, remove the eggs from the heat.
There are 3 boiled egg hardness scales labeled.
Do not cool the egg timer with cold water as the sudden drop in temperature may cause cracks. Leave the egg timer to cool down on its own to room temperature.

My wife uses this when boiling eggs, and they come out perfect each time.

I saw this the other day. The packaging says it’s Made in Japan, and the timer is made from the same Polyester Resin. Note the price is 1,600 yen + tax! and it isn’t as cute as the one from Daiso.
